 A New Beginning - A New Birth

Happy New Year everyone! This first day of the new year, 2018, symbolizes a fresh start, a new beginning. Alot of people have New Year's resolutions like losing weight, eating healthier, stop smoking, stop drinking, and a host of other things. Those are all great things to do that help your body and help you to be healthier which brings to mind 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. That scripture says, " What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." That verse is telling us to honor God with what we do with our bodies which ties right in with those resolutions I just mentioned. At the same time though, I can think of something you could do that would be so big that even the angels in heaven would rejoice! Make this the year, if you haven't already done so, that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! That would be the most important new beginning of your life! It is so simple to receive the free gift of Salvation, all you have to do is know your ABCs. A - Admit that you are sinner, B - Believe that God sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and accept his free gift of forgiveness, and C - Confess your new found faith in Jesus to others so they can experience the same life-changing event you have had and receive the gift New Birth in Jesus Christ. It's that simple! Accept Jesus Christ today and make this new beginning the first day of the rest of your life! Let this new year be your New Birth as a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lord's!
